Getting Past Monday (A Monday Survival List)

Waking up on a Monday is the WORST!

Really it is, for me at least.  Here is a truth bomb: I hate waking up in general. I wake up feeling like I’ve had zero sleep, when in fact I always make sure I get at least 9 hours of sleep. I don’t know why my body needs a lot of sleep, but trust me, I don’t function without it.

Here are your 4 tips to survive Mondays!

  1. Sunday night preparations: Yes a little preparation on Sunday, goes a long way on Monday.  I mean Make the school lunches, set out your clothing, double check your journal to make sure that you know what is going on tomorrow, and if you are as lazy as I am, Take a bath, wash your hair, dry it, straighten it, and BLAM you are ready for Monday morning.
  2. PREP the Coffee maker, (Don’t drink coffee prep your tea.)  And in the am make sure to enjoy your coffee or tea in a to-go cup (I personally love the Contigo Brand cups) so when you need to go, your coffee is ready to follow you.IMG_4349
  3. Good nights rest, while many of my friends try and continue the weekend fun by staying up late and watching their shows or having a glass of wine, I opt for a tea a good book, bath and a EARLY bedtime.
  4. 5 Second launch… Alright so I’ve been reading this really cool book… “The 5 Second Rule” – By Mel Robbins – I love using the 5 second rule to launch my lazy rear end from bed. In the morning when my alarm goes off I’m so used to pressing snooze until the very last minute, making me and the boys rushed for the door…. But now I give myself 5 seconds counting down and feet touch the floor…. You can read more here.   (This post is in no way sponsored by them, I just really love the book.)

Brightest Blessings,
